Harris-Roubaix: A Celebration of Dirt Roads - April 8, 2018

The Harris-Roubaix is another great, fun cycling event brought to you by the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC). It takes place every Spring on the same day as the Paris-Roubaix. The group leaves from the center of Harrisonburg at noon for a casual ride to a family farm about 7 miles to the north. From the farm there will be a 10-15 mile loop marked for your enjoyment. You are more than welcome to ride the loop once or more, and there is an informal 3-lap race that will crown the Champion of the Harris-Roubaix.

For more information visit SVBC's website or the Facebook event page!

2018 Shenandoah Farm to Fork Fondo - May 19-20, 2018

This will be the first edition of Farm to Fork Fondo - Shenandoah! A farm fresh feast from the seat of your favorite bicycle.

What's a Farm to Fork Fondo? An organized bicycle ride where you get to choose the distance best for you and stop for chef-prepared bites at farms along the way.

The Shenandoah Valley, once known as the "Breadbasket of the Confederacy," is rich in agricultural history, and one of the most productive farming regions on the East Coast. The Valley is home to dozens of world-class wineries and cideries, and a diverse mix of local farms.

National historic site Belle Grove Planation in Middletown, VA, will serve as our start and finish venue on May 20, and host a pre-ride Meet the Farms Dinner on May 19. Belle Grove is a property of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Please visit the Farm to Fork Fondo website or the Facebook event page for more information!
